Cookies are the breadcrumbs on the trail of your internet use. Each time you visit a website, your Firefox browser tracks the visit to the site by leaving a piece of information on the hard drive of your computer in the form of a text file. Cookies enable websites to remember your preferences and passwords, if you check the Remember Me box.

  1. View and Clear Cookies in Firefox

      View your cookies in Firefox by selecting "Tools" and then "Options" from the dropdown menu.

      Click the "Privacy" icon in the "Options" popup box.

      Select the "Show Cookies" button in the Cookies section.

    • 4

      Click the plus sign next to a folder to see your cookies.

    • 5

      Click the "Remove Cookie" button to remove a selected cookie.

    • 6

      Click the "Remove All Cookies" button to remove all cookies.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you disable your cookies, some websites will not work properly.
