How to Adjust a Jump Rope
A jump rope is one of the most inexpensive fitness equipment available. The simple repetition of jumping over the rope as it turns provides a total-body, fast-paced aerobic workout. When you use a jump rope, the arms and the legs actively force the body to move with the pace of the rope. Jump ropes usually come in standard sizes, but some might need to be adjusted to fit the height of the jumper.
Instructions

-
1
Measure the desired length of the rope, then mark it with a marker or pen.
-
2
Loosen the rope through one handle. Some rope handles unscrew, while others are hollow. Push the rope through the opening in the handle to access the knot.
-
-
3
Tie a new knot at the mark you made on the rope, making sure the handle is on the inside of the rope so it will catch the knot once it's tied.
-
4
Cut away the excess rope, then pull the handle back over the knot, making sure the fit is tight and snug.
-
5
Reattach any other part of the handle.

Tips & Warnings
Try to tie the same type of knot that was original to the rope. If there is enough room inside the handle, consider doubling the knot.
