Most games today are run from the discs they come with. Sometimes toting a disc around can be a hassle, especially if it gets lost. A solution to this is using Nero, which is a CD burning program. With it, you can make image files of your games to boot up on your flash drive, which is portable, safe, and easy to use.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Nero
  • Flash drive
  • Internet connection
  1. Step 1

Create an image file with Nero. An image file is data copied from the disc with the "ISO" extension at the end. The larger the file size, the longer it will take to create the image file.

  2. Step 2

Copy your image file into the flash drive. Lifting the complete data of a game can go from hundreds of megabytes to several gigs, so make sure you have enough storage capacity on your flash drive to accommodate the game.

  3. Step 3

Go to the website Daemon Tools (daemon-tools.cc) to download the Daemon Tools application and install it. This is a software that creates a virtual drive to mount image files and read them as if it were a CD-ROM drive.

  4. Step 4

Open Daemon Tools and search through your flash drive directory for your game. When you have found it, mount the "ISO" file onto the application.

  5. Step 5

Run the image file through Daemon Tools. If the game begins to load, you have booted a game from your flash drive.
