How to Create Your Own Bowling Ball
Designing your own bowling ball is becoming more and more popular among serious bowlers. In the old days, the pro shop at the alley would sell bowling balls and offer engraving services, but nowadays bowlers can choose not only the weight, but they can create the entire graphic surface of the ball using online ball creation services or by special order through the bowling alley. Imagine having pictures of the grandkids on your bowling ball.

1
Experiment with balls of different weights at the bowling alley to determine what weight is best for you. Bowl with a different weight ball each time out, then factor in your score and comfort level to determine which weight is best for you.
-
2
Identify your weaknesses and strengths. For instance, if you have a weak hook shot, you can specify that your new ball comes weighted a little differently to compensate. In fact, that is why some bowlers have more than one bowling ball.

Spend a few minutes at the bowling alley pro shop flipping through design catalogs, have your hands measured and learn more about the options available for creating your own bowling ball, such as if you can choose your own graphics.
