How to Convert Filemaker Pro Files

After using the Filemaker Pro application, which is available for both PC and Mac computers, to create a database, you can convert your Filemaker file to other formats. With the "Export" command, Filemaker users can save databases as Excel or text files that can then be opened in other programs.

• Filemaker Pro 8 or later

Instructions

1. Open the Filemaker database that you want to convert to another format.

2. Go to the "File" menu at the top of the screen and select "Export Records."

3. Type in a new title for the converted file.

4. Use the "Export" window to choose where to save the converted file on your computer.

5. Choose the format you want to convert the Filemaker Pro file to using the "Type" drop-down menu.

6. Click on the "Save" button to convert the file and export your database records.
