How to Use a Wet-To-Dry Flat Iron
A wet-to-dry flat iron is basically a straightening iron that can be used on wet hair. Regular flat irons must be used on dry hair to be effective. A wet-to-dry flat iron is fortified with negative ion technology to prevent wet hair from becoming damaged by the heat from the iron. It can also be used safely on dry hair. Many people prefer the wet-to-dry version because it eliminates the need for blow-drying. Does this Spark an idea?

1
After washing your hair, towel dry and wring out excess moisture. If your hair is extremely wet, the wet-to-dry flat iron won't work as well.
-
2
Section off hair into separate areas to make it easier to style. Use hair clips to hold the hair in place.
-
-
3
Coat each strand with a heat protection spray or cream to prevent excessive heat damage from the flat iron. Try Smooth 'n' Shine Heat Protect Spray.
-
4
Heat the wet-to-dry flat iron to a temperature of your liking. For finer hair, set the heat settings to low or medium. For thick, coarse hair, set it to high. Take an inch-wide strand of hair and place it between the flat iron.

5
Starting from as close to the root as possible (be careful not to burn your scalp), slowly run the iron over every strand. As you glide the iron down, you will notice your hair drying and straightening. If your hair is damp after the first use, run the iron through your hair a second time.
