Instructions

    • 1

Mark where posts will need to be attached to the concrete. For a straight fence, make marks at the ends of the fence and then snap lines using a chalk box. A laser line generator will also work.

    • 2

Place post anchors at the marks. Lay the post anchors so that they represent how the post will be when installed.

    • 3

Drill holes into the concrete with a masonry bit. The hole should be the same size as the anchor bolt.

    • 4

Place the post with the anchor attached. Place stud bolt anchors in the drilled holes and tap them down with a hammer. The bolt should be tapped in until the stud bolt washer is all the way to the ground.

    • 5

Tighten the stud bolt with a wrench. Once the bolt has been tightened, a sleeve at the base of the stud-bolt will expand inside the hole so that the bolt will become rigid inside the hole.

    • 6

Attach the privacy fence material, such as wood, vinyl or metal, to the posts using the appropriate hardware.
