Step 1
Visit the web site of the Association of Junior League International at www.ajli.org to find a chapter near your town or city. If you already know of a local chapter, contact the office by finding the chapter through Google.
-
Step 2
Most small to medium Leagues do not require a sponsor to join. Typically larger Leagues will require a sponsor. If you are new to town or if you don't know anyone who has ties to your local chapter, contact the local office and a sponsor can be assigned to you. Typically a casual meeting will follow just to ensure you are aware of the Junior League's mission.

Step 3
Most Leagues try to finalize the Provisional/New Member class by mid summer. If you are looking to join, the best time to send out "feelers" is spring. Typically, local chapters will hold open houses so you can meet Members and others who are interested in joining.
-
Step 4
After talking with various Members and attending an open house or two, you will be asked to pay Provisional/New Member dues. The rate varies from chapter to chapter. If financial assistance is needed, just ask. Some chapters also require a signed document saying you understand the requirements of becoming a Provisional/New Member.
-
Step 5
You will spend a year (typically) as a Provisional/New Member. In this year, you will learn how your local chapter functions, the many volunteer opportunities available, attend social functions, support various fundraisers, learn the rich history of the League and become friends with other Provisionals/New Members. Often the ladies who you go through your Provisional/New Member year with become life-long friends.
