Make Homemade Face Masks

Caring for your skin is an important step in maintaining a healthy, youthful face. Daily cleansing and moisturizing is an essential part of caring for your skin. Taking an additional step by routinely applying facial masks can be very beneficial as well. Face masks can be expensive and have questionable ingredients. A nice alternative is to make your own face masks. You may be surprised to find that items that are already in your home make great masks for the face.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Milk of Magnesia
  • Avocado
  • Egg white
  1. Step 1

    FACE MASK FOR ACNE
If your skin is prone to breaking out, this is a great face mask to help. As soon as you notice an onset of a blemish, apply a coat of Milk of Magnesia to your face and allow to dry. Milk of Magnesia masks typically dry within ten minutes. Once the mask is dry, rinse your face well and pat skin dry.

  2. Step 2

FACE MASK TO HELP TIGHTEN SKIN
A great mask to help tighten the face is egg whites. Simply apply (only) the white part of an egg to the face and allow to dry. Egg whites take a little longer to dry but are usually dried within 15 minutes. Rinse your face well and pat skin dry.

  3. Step 3

    FACE MASK FOR DRY SKIN
If your face is feeling dry, a nice moisturizing mask is a great help. Avocados have oils that are very beneficial for dry skin. Simply take half of an avocado and mash well. You will, of course, want to make sure the seed and peel have been removed first. Apply the mashed avocado to your face and allow to dry. Avocado masks usually take about fifteen minutes to dry. Once the mask has dried, rinse your face well and pat dry.
