Step 1
Landscape Design with Red, White, and BlueLandscaping with a Patriotic Flower Garden
A floral American flag creates a beautiful centerpiece for your landscaping.
• Select a 5 x 10 foot area for the patriotic garden.
• Prepare the soil according to your climate and the flowers you intend to plant.
• Mark a 2x2 foot area in the top left corner for the blue flowers.
• Select annual plants that are all either high growing or low growing. The amount of each color depends on the variety you choose. Consult with the nursery personnel.
• When planting start and end the rows of stripes with red. 7 red and 13 white.
• Plant the blue flowers in the 2x2’ square you marked off.
If you do not have a green thumb or do not have room for a patriotic garden you can use outdoor silk flowers and create an outdoor centerpiece for your patio, make a stunning red, white, and blue flower arrangement in an outdoor planter, or be a little less formal by putting the silk flowers in a half whiskey barrel planter. -

Patriotic Landscape Garden ArtLandscaping Design - Garden Art Depicting the American Flag
Yard art is any ornamental accent that is used in your garden, landscape, or yard. This may be the easiest way to show your patriotism in your landscaping since there are hundreds of choices from a watering can to a mailbox cover or a wind chime to a stained glass stepping stone. Garden art is easy to find and may become contagious since one is as unique as the other. -
Step 3
Landscape Design with Patriotic ThemeLandscape Lighting of the American Flag
As a symbol of love for America flying the ‘Old Glory’ has become a basic in landscaping throughout the country. There are many different ways to light up the America flag.
• Try surrounding the base of the flag pole with three landscape lights using red and blue film on two of them.
• There are also spot lights that can be used to shine on the flag at night, or
• Get your hands on the hottest lighting product - the solar pole attachment. This type of landscape lighting attaches to the pole of the flag, is charged by the sun throughout the day, and shines up the pole so the American flag’s color can shine 24 hours a day.
