Things You'll Need:
- A friend!! It's not safe to go to concerts alone!!
-
Step 1
Do some research. Is the show sold out or is it just a small local show? Is it General Admission or Assigned Seating? Is the venue large or small? Does the venue have actual seats, or is it all standing? Answers to these questions can help you prepare.
-
Step 2
Only bring the essentials: Ticket, spending money, cell phone, and maybe your ID and camera. Some venues do not allow photography, so check on that. Ladies, avoid bringing big purses. There are pick-pocketers out there.
-
Step 3
Wear close-toed shoes. People get crazy at concerts and trample all over you. DO NOT wear flip flops, unless you plan on leaving the concert without them.
-
Step 4
Make sure your cell phone has plenty of battery life left. Just in case you get separated from your friends. Maybe even determine a general meeting spot before the concert begins. Just in case.
-
Step 5
Don't encourage the mouthy, rude people. This will only cause drama and possible physical fights.
-
Step 6
If you're in a pit (whether people are moshing or not) and it's cramped (as in, back-to-chest cramped) and you want out, don't be afraid to call out for help. If you're in the middle, people will crowd-surf you to the front where the security guards can pull you out.
-
Step 7
Be on the look out for crowd surfers. You really don't want to be surprised by a person kicking or landing on your head, trust me, I know.
-
Step 8
Most of all, stay positive and have fun :)
