Step 1
First thing you should do is invest in a reliable good quality digital camera. No, you don't have to spend big bucks on one. Kodak, Sony and Nikon make inexpensive digital cameras that are ready to be bought everyday. Make sure you find a camera that fits your needs.
If you are taking pictures of fast moving actions, be sure to check for movement capture. Close ups, family shots, and other uses make sure you find a camera that has a face priority feature. You can ask the representive at the electronics section to help you pick out the right one for your needs. -
Step 2
One of the biggest tips you will ever need to know about taking good digital pictures, keep it simple! You can almost always improve your digital pictures by zooming in and cutting out all distractions and clutter.
-
Step 3
Another tip is to pre-focus your camera. Many people have no clue that you can do this with almost any digital camera. If you are experiencing a delay (shutter lag) when snapping your photos, it's because your camera isn't focusing. You can simply fix this by holding the shutter button half-way down when you're about to take a photo, and then press the button all the way down the take the image. It will do it instantly without blur. Neat, huh?
-
Step 4
Keep lighting in mind when taking digital photos. Every advanced camera has different settings for lighting. Light, dark, indoor and outdoor. Remember to check the settings and adjust them according to your present settings.
-
Step 5
If all else fails, try again. Sometimes, you just need a second shot. Try not to get too annoyed by distorted shots. Most of the time, the second shot will come out brilliant.
