Things You'll Need:
- You’ll need: scented candles, facial scrub, moisturizers, loofah, exfoliator, shea butter or your favorite moisturizer, your favorite foods, junk food and movies.
-
Step 1
Clear your schedule, turn off the phone, and put on a relaxing cd. Make sure that you arrange for anyone who is a distraction to be away from home. Remember the only rule for the day is to rest, relax and spoil yourself.
-
Step 2
Pull out your scented candles, put them all around the room and light them.
-
Step 3
Grab your favorite breakfast, and take your time eating a leisurely breakfast. If your like me, most of your breakfasts are eaten on the run or as your driving in the car.
-
Step 4
Take a nice, long, hot, relaxing bath. Add some essential oils to the water to relax you even more. Put cucumber slices on your eyes and just soak for a while. Once you get out pull your hair back into a hair clip. Moisturize your skin.
-
Step 5
Exfoliate and moisturize your face.
-
Step 6
Give yourself a manicure. Take the time to really pamper your hands.
-
Step 7
Soak your feet in water with Epson salt, and scrub off all of the dead skin. Give yourself a pedicure. I love to use shea butter on my feet and hands. I’ve always had a problem with severe dry skin, and the shea butter keeps my feet from getting dry or cracking at all.
-
Step 8
Eat your favorite kind of comfort food for lunch.
-
Step 9
Pull out your favorite mushy love story or drama – you know – the ones your husband and / or children hate to watch. Kick back on the sofa, pull out your favorite throw, tissues (if necessary for your movie), junk food and enjoy.
-
Step 10
Really relax, and leave the guilt of taking time for yourself behind. Take a nap or just read a good book.
-
Step 11
End your day on a relaxing note, call and have food delivered or pull something instant out of the freezer. The next day you’ll feel refreshed, energized and ready to face the world.
