How to Make Blue Eyes Pop

One of the biggest myths in beauty is that only blue eyeshadow will look good on those with blue eyes. The truth of it is that blue eyeshadow can actually take away from the bold blue of your eyes and make them appear dull. Instead follow these easy steps and make your baby-blues pop!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Taupe, gold and bronze eyeshadows
• Brown Eyeliner (pencil or gel)
• Brown/Black Volumizing Mascara
• Eyeshadow Brushes

1. 

   Apply your makeup as usual (i.e. foundation, concealer and powder).

2. 

   Using a large eyeshadow brush, apply your taupe shadow all over the eyelid. Make sure to apply this from just below the brow line to the top lashline.
   **For added emphasis, use a shimmer taupe eyeshadow.

3. 

   Next, apply the darker of the eyeshadows (the bronze) to the outer corner of each eyelid and blend in towards the inner corner. Make sure not to apply this any higher than just below the brow bone.
   **Smooth out any harsh edges with your eyeshadow brush you used in step 2.

4. 

   Now, using either your finger or a small eyeshadow brush, dab a small amount of your gold (shimmer) eyeshadow to the center of your eyelid. Blend this into the inner corner of the eye and smooth out any harsh edges.

5. 

   Apply your eyeliner (either pencil or gel). Make a thin line across the lash line (it can be heavier for evening) and smudge to avoid a harsh finish. Top with your brown/black mascara to finish the look.

Tips & Warnings

• Lavender and Lilac are also great color choices, just try not to overdo it as purple can make the eyes appear red.
