How to Have Cheap Fun with Your Friends

Lately it seems like everyone is having some money trouble and the first thing they cut out to save money is entertainment. I am a firm believer that you need to have fun and enjoy yourself every once in a while to maintain your sanity. So I have a few ideas that could let you have fun with your friends and not spend lots of money.

Things You'll Need:

1. 
   Cheap Fun

   Board games- have a night where all your friends bring one or two board games over. My friends have done this and it was so much fun. We played three or four different games and spent most of the night laughing.
   We also had a Card game night where we sat around the table playing Phase 10, Uno, Rummy, Spades and even Go Fish. It was a fun night.

   Cheap Fun

   Movie Night- This can be done in a lot of different ways.
   1. Everyone bring over their favorite movie then you vote on what to watch.
   2. Everyone has to go to a red box pick out the movie they think will be the worst/cheesy movie they could possibly find. The scary horror movies are normally entertaining.
   3. Watch a Trilogy or movies that have become like a series. Examples Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Lethal Weapon or the Jason Borne Collection, Scary Movie or the Caddy Shack movies. Spend the night eating popcorn and candy hanging out watching all the movies from a series.

   Cheap Fun

   Have a potluck cook out! Everyone brings one or two dishes and some one brings drinks. Cook out and enjoy each others company.

   Cheap Fun

   Have a Road Rally! This takes planning and time. If you want this can cost a lot or a little. Set it up as a competition. This is more fun if you have 3 or more cars involved.
   Set up: I have done this set up before
   1. get a digital camera for each car.
   2. The clues lead each car to a new destination where everyone in the group had to take a picture with something there to prove they had been there. Then they would get another clue that lead them to the next place.
   3. Each car would be awarded bonus points for fun or crazy pictures taken during the road rally (these pic's do not have to have anything to do with the rally, just fun pictures)
   4. the group in-charge has final say on who wins and what they win.
   
   We have done this where the winner gets a shot bought for then later. It doesn't have to cost money but you can make it where the winner gets a gift certificate. I work at an family fun center so I was able to get two passes to the mini golf and give those to the winner. Its all about what you want to do. If you decide to make it fun then it will be.

• Always be responsible, take precautions and have a good mind set.
