Not your normal cup of lemonade -- this method of making lemonade involves blending up the entire lemon, peel included. This is perfect for luncheons, showers and picnics throughout the summer months. It is simple to make and can be made minutes before you need it, or you can make it well ahead of time and keep it in the fridge until needed. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 4 unwaxed lemons
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 6 1/4 cups water
  • Ice
  • Blender

Instructions

      Wash the lemon skins thoroughly with fruit and vegetable soap or your own mixture of water and white vinegar. Quarter the lemons.

      Add the lemons, the sugar and 3 cups of the water to the blender and pulse until the lemons are finely chopped.

      Pour the mixture from the blender through a strainer and into your serving jug. Add the remaining water and the ice. Serve chilled.
      Add a lemon slice for garnish if desired.

  • Use frozen strawberries, blueberries or other fruit in place of ice for a unique flavor and stunning presentation.
