Mix and simmer 10 minutesMix ¾ cup of catsup, 2 ½ tsp of regular mustard, 2 tbsp of sugar, couple squirts of Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and ½ cup of cider vinegar together and place in a small saucepan and let simmer (not boil) for ten minutes.
-
Step 2
Simmer all ingredients for 5 minutes moreIn another pan lightly brown one green pepper (finely chopped), one large onion (diced), and sweet pickles (finely chopped), in the melted butter. Add the first pan contents to the green pepper, onion, sweet pickle mixture and simmer for about 5 minutes.
-
Step 3
Let cool and use this barbecue sauce as a sauce for baking spare ribs or you can use it as a sauce for making pulled barbecue sandwiches. You can also use it as a meat marinade before throwing your pork on the grill; put sauce in a large freezer bag, place the pork in the bag and let it marinade in the sauce for about 2 hours prior to grilling. It’s delicious!
