There are several resources you can use to check the value of your car, all of which will help you set a solid selling price.

1. Assess the condition of your car. Take into consideration the vehicle's mileage, its exterior and interior, and any defects it may have. Most used cars will fall into the "Good" to "Fair" range.

2. Run your vehicle identification number (VIN) through a vehicle history report generator like Carfax. A clean history report will have a positive impact on your buyers.
