A toilet tank valve tube line is more commonly referred to as a toilet supply line, and is the connection between the water supply coming out of the wall and the fill valve in the toilet's tank. Installing a replacement supply line is very easy and requires only two tools to complete.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Channel lock pliers Crescent wrench
  1. Step 1

Turn the water off at the valve the existing supply line is connected to.

  2. Step 2

Loosen the nut that connects the existing toilet tank valve tube line to the toilet tank. If the nut is too tight to loosen by hand, use a pair of channel lock pliers to loosen the nut.

  3. Step 3

Loosen the nut connecting the existing toilet tank valve tube line to the water valve coming out of the wall. Use a crescent wrench to loosen the nut. Put the old supply line aside for now.

  4. Step 4

Thread the new toilet tank valve tube line to the toilet tank and tighten it only by hand.

  5. Step 5

Thread the new toilet tank valve tube line to the water valve coming out of the wall. Tighten the nut with a crescent wrench. Turn the water valve back on slowly and check the connections for leaks.
