How to Wrap Sea Glass With Wire
Sea glass is glass that has been sandblasted by the waves of the ocean. The sandblasting etches the glass and rounds the edges, making it a really interesting trinket to build jewelry around. Sea glass comes in a variety of different colors, all dependent on what color the original glass was. Wrapping the sea glass with wire enables you to easily turn it into jewelry, as it gives you someplace to attach the rest of the jewelry findings to.

Look at your sea glass. Does it have any nooks or crannies that will help the wire hold the sea glass in place? Your goal is to wrap the glass with wire in such a manner that you can still see the majority of the glass.

2
Unspool some of your wire from the spool. Leaving about an inch tail, start wrapping the sea glass with the wire, pulling the wire tightly as you wrap. Try to wrap the sea glass in such a manner that you hold the sea glass tightly within the wire, but use a minimum amount of wire to do so. Because of the variety of shapes of the sea glass, this is easier with some pieces of sea glass.

Once you feel the sea glass is secure, bring the wire back up to the original wire tail. Using the needlenose pliers, tightly twist the two pieces of wire together as close to the sea glass as possible.
-
4
Using the wire clippers, clip the wire off the spool, leaving the same amount of tail as you started with. Holding the two pieces of wire together, make a small loop with the wire, bending it down toward the sea glass. With the needlenose pliers, twist the loop two or three times to secure it.

5
With the small amount of wire tail you have left, separate the pieces of wire and wrap them around the base of the loop in opposite directions. If you need to clip the pieces so that they don't poke out, do so now. You now have the base to an unusual piece of jewelry. You can use this piece as a pendant for a necklace or a charm on a bracelet.
