How to Do Video Conferencing in Skype
Video conferencing in Skype is easy and free. Video conferencing, or Skyping as it is commonly referred to, is a new way of communicating, where people can see and speak to each other from separate locations.

Make sure that your computer has a built-in camera, or an exterior camera attached to it, and is on-line.

If your computer does not have Skype on it, go to http://www.skype.com and download the free application.

Open Skype and enter the name of the person you are trying to Skype. The person you wish to video Skype with must have Skype as well. If you do not have their name in your Skype address book, enter their name in the search bar on the top of the Skype screen. Skype will locate people and locations with that particular name who have Skype accounts. You can then select the person with whom you are trying to video conference.

Your computer will ring until the person you are trying to video conference in Skype answers. A screen will appear on your end while it is ringing. When you click on the video icon, typically a small circle with a video camera in it, your image will appear. Adjust your camera so that you can be seen on the screen.

When the person on the other end answers, he has an opportunity to "Accept Video" call. When he accepts, you will be able to see him, and he will be able to see you as you appear in the small box on your screen. To get the other person's image as a full screen, click on the icon that has four arrows on it, pointing in four directions.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure you have people's Skype names/numbers in your Skype address book. It will show you who is available to Skype, and who is not currently available.
Occasionally people that you don't know might try to contact you on Skype. You do not have to accept a Skype call or video conference request.
