How to Make an Earring Holder From Screen Wire
In today's economy, recycling and repurposing items to make something new and useful is all the rage. Instead of buying an earring holder, why don't you try recycling and repurposing your way to a cool earring holder made from window screening and an old picture frame? Not only will the holder look cool, it's a terrific way to keep your earrings organized.

1
Remove the glass and backing from your picture frame. If you like the way the frame looks now, leave it the way it is. If you feel the need to dress it up, now is the time to paint and embellish it to fit your style.

2
Trace the outside of the frame onto the window screen. Cut out the screen. Depending on the screen you use, you should be able to use regular scissors to cut it. If your screen won't cut with regular scissors, you can use tin snips, but that shouldn't be a problem.

3
Center the screen on the back of the frame. Using the staple gun, staple the screen to one side of the frame. When that side is secure, pull the screen tight and then staple the opposite side. Repeat with the remaining sides.

4
Using the scissors, trim the screen fairly close to the staples. Measure and cut enough ribbon to cover the staples and edges of the screen. Glue the ribbon over the staples and edges. Let the glue dry.

Put your earrings on the screen. If you want, you can hang the frame on the wall. Otherwise, you can lean the frame on your dressing table or dresser. Another option is to install small hinges on one side of the frame and hang the frame on the wall with the hinges. This option easily allows you to access both sides of the frame while it is hanging on the wall.
