How to Buy Gold Coins From the U.S. Mint

1. Go to the U.S. Mint's website. Click on "Shop Online" on the left side of the page, then search for gold coins by using the search box.

2. Choose the coin you want to buy. You can make a better-informed decision by clicking on the name of the coin and reading the description.

3. Enter the quantity you want to purchase, then click "Add to cart." Check to see your order is right, then click "Proceed to checkout."

4. The site will ask you to create an account. Enter your personal information and come up with a user name and password. Click "Submit."

5. Your new coin should arrive in two to three 3 business days or one to two weeks depending on the method of shipping.

Tips & Warnings

• Many of the gold coins are made in limited quantities and sell out quickly. If you want to be notified when a new coin will be made available for purchase, go to the "Product availability" page under "Services." Then view the "Scheduled Products" listing.
