Quick and easy pan fried garlic and soy sauce chicken. Great with cooked rice, pasta or serve on a bed of green leaf salad.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 chicken thighs, bone-in with skin
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 6 tablespoons red wine
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 4 cloves garlic, whole
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  1. Step 1

Wash chicken thighs and pat dry with paper towel.

  2. Step 2

In a bowl, mix together the chopped garlic, red wine, soy sauce and sugar. Pour the mixture into a large resealable bag.

  3. Step 3

Put the chicken thighs into the bag, squeezing and turning the bag to coat evenly the thighs. Marinate in room temperature for 1 hour or in the fridge for 30 minutes.

  4. Step 4

Remove chicken and reserve juice and marinade.

  5. Step 5

Add 4 cloves garlic and brown the chicken thighs in a skillet with cooking oil over high heat. Brown all sides then pour the juice and marinade over the chicken, about 10 minutes total or until there is no more liquid in the pan. You can cook in batches if they can't fit all at once in the skillet.

    * If you fry in batches, make sure you reserve marinade and juice for each.

  6. Step 6

Discard the fried garlic. Transfer garlic and soy sauce chicken onto plate and serve while hot.
