Instructions

    • 1

Clean off the area around the sink countertop where you plan to install the vessel sink faucet. Apply bathroom cleaner to the countertop and clean off with a rag. Remove any stuck on construction debris, such as dried grout or caulk, with a plastic putty knife.

    • 2

Wrap the inlets on the underside of the vessel sink faucet with plumber's tape. Trim off any extra.

    • 3

Screw the couplings of the water supply hose onto the inlets on the vessel sink. Do this for both the hot and cold water supply. Tighten the coupling with a wrench.

    • 4

Thread the water supply hoses through the counter nut and slide the nut until it is flush with the base of the vessel sink faucet.

    • 5

Insert a tube of silicone caulk into a caulk gun. Trim off the end of the silicone caulk nozzle at a 45-degree angle. Apply a bead of caulk around the perimeter of the faucet hole on the countertop.

    • 6

Feed the water supply hoses through the countertop, taking care not to get any silicone caulk on them. Lower the vessel sink faucet into the hole until the nut at the bottom is flush with the countertop. Twist the faucet slowly back and forth to help set it in the silicone caulk.

    • 7

Move underneath the sink. Insert the water supply hoses through the faucet retaining nut. Slide the nut up until it meets the threads on the underside of the faucet body. Tighten the nut with a wrench or pair of pliers.

    • 8

Wrap the hot and cold water supply valves underneath the sink with plumber's tape. Screw the couplings from the vessel faucet water supply hoses onto the valves. Tighten with a wrench or pliers.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't try to wipe up any silicone caulk that oozes out between the faucet and the countertop. Wait until it dries and then cut it away with a razor.
