Things You'll Need:
- Pool table.
- Pool sticks & caulk.
- Cue ball, and other balls.
- Opponent
-
Step 1
First of all you will need a pool table, 1-9 billiard balls, pool sticks, caulk, rack, and an opponent to play against. Now 9 ball pool has it own rack, however if you don’t have one that is fine, just use a regular rack. Take the 1 ball put it at the front of the rack, then put 5&6 ball on top of it. Then take 4,9,&2 ball on top of them, now put 7&8, on top of them, and last but not least the 3 ball in the back of the balls. Just in case you don’t have a nine ball rack, just make a diamond shape with the regular rack. Just like what you see in the picture.

Step 2
The rules are kind of the same if you scratch the only person is around to move the cue ball anywhere in front of the first two dots. The main difference is that with 9 ball, there is no solids, and stripes, instead you will be shooting for the number in order
-
Step 3
For example if you break, and don’t get any of the balls to go in, then your opponent will have to shoot for the 1 ball. If he makes the shot, he then has to shoot for the number 2 ball, and so on. If he misses the 1 ball and knocks in the 5 ball, or misses all together then it goes back to your shot, and you have to shot for the 1 ball.
-
Step 4
Now you know that this is a game of order, you must knock in 1, 2, 3, and so on, but the 9 ball is last. However there is another thing that may happen. What if I break, or hit a number ball, and it knocks in the 9 ball? Good question in regular pool, you now you lose if you knock in the 8 ball unless it last. In 9 ball if that happens you automatically win the game in that instance.
Well I hope I taught you something new today, and if you have question please feel free to ask away.
