Things You'll Need:
- Digoxin Tablets
- Healthcare Professional Contact Information
- Pharmacy Contact Information
-
Step 1
Make sure you have the recalled Digoxin. The Digoxin tablets recalled are 0.25 MG, round in shape and scored. The white tablets should have the numbers 441 printed on the tablet. If in doubt, contact your health care provider or pharmacy for more information on the tablets used to fill the prescription or the medication prescribed.
-
Step 2
Stop taking the medication. If a patient is currently using A-S Medication Solutions Digoxin Tablets in 0.25 MG, these patients should stop using the medication immediately. There has been a variation in the sizes of the tablets noted and this could mean the patient is getting more medication than they believe they are taking.
-
Step 3
Return to the pharmacy. All medications that have not been taken need to be returned to the pharmacy where the medication was filled. The amount of money returned to the patient may vary based upon the number of tablets left in the bottle.
-
Step 4
Fill the new prescription. Not all Digoxin tablets are being recalled so the pharmacy should be able to refill the prescription with the approved tablets without lapse in medication coverage.
