It is so easy to make BBQ ribs in the slow cooker, you’ll wish you had done it before now! They taste delicious and are often much more tender than when grilled. While you can use any type of meat to make BBQ ribs, the guide below uses pork as an example. Simply substitute the pork ribs for beef ribs if you prefer and follow the remaining instructions, both taste great!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 lbs. pork ribs
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bottle honey flavored barbecue sauce
  1. Step 1

Remove the wrapping from the pork ribs and rinse them off in the sink. Gently pat the pork ribs dry and place them into the slow cooker

  2. Step 2

Chop the onion and the garlic into tiny pieces. Place them into the slow cooker pot with the pork ribs. Stir the onion and garlic around so that it covers the pork ribs.

  3. Step 3

Pour the barbecue sauce over the ribs and turn the slow cooker onto high. Cook the BBQ ribs for 2 hours.

  4. Step 4

Turn the temperature down to low and continue to cook the ribs for an additional 6 hours.
