    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • 1 tall, sturdy terra cotta flower pot
    • 1 wide, shallow terra cotta flower pot dish
    • Outdoor adhesive such as PL400
    • All-weather paint that works on clay or terra cotta
    • Clear coat or sealer

Turn the deep pot upside down, and place glue all over the bottom. Center the shallow dish on top of the glue, then let the adhesive dry according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Paint both pieces of the bird bath. You can make the whole bird bath a uniform color, create patterns or whatever you choose that will fit in with your other landscaping decor. Allow the paint to dry according to the manufacturer's directions.

Apply a clear coat or sealer on the entire bird bath. Let it dry. Give it a second coat of clear coat or sealer, and allow additional time to dry. Fill your bird bath with water, and place it where you can see the bird activity.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Keep the water in your bird bath fresh.

    • Bring your bird bath indoors to store during cold weather months.
