Things You'll Need:
- Live trap sized for a squirrel
- Squirrel food
-
Step 1
Locate the area in your home where the squirrel entered the wall. This is important, because this is probably where the squirrel will end up coming back out. Knowing where the squirrel went into the wall is also vital if the squirrel is still spending time around this area or is coming and going through the same entrance into the wall.
-
Step 2
Place the live trap close to the entrance in the wall that the squirrel is using. Set up the trap so that the squirrel can reach the entrance easily when it comes out of the wall.
-
Step 3
Fill the appropriate area of the squirrel trap with squirrel food or bait. Supply foods that will lure the squirrel out of the wall and into the trap. If you try one type of bait or food and there are no results, keep trying with different foods and treats until you find something that will lure the squirrel out of the wall.
-
Step 4
Once the squirrel has been lured into and enclosed in the trap, take the trap outside and release the squirrel.
