1
Remove a Post-it Note from the pad, and hold it so that the sticky side is on top. Fold it in half from side to side with the sticky part on the outside of the fold. Unfold the fold.
-
2
Hold the Post-it Note so that the fold line is vertical, and the sticky side is on top. Fold the two top corners to the center to create a triangle point on top. This is the type of fold that is typical of folding a paper airplane. When this fold is done correctly, the sticky edge of the Post-it Note will be folded inside, and no longer be visible.

-
3
Fold the Post-it Note in half again along the fold made in Step 1. The corners folded in Step 2 should be folded to the inside.
-
4
Hold the Post-it Note so that the long fold is at the bottom, the diagonal fold is on the left, and the square corner is on the right. Push the bottom corner up into the shape so that it is butted up against the triangle fold made in Step 2. When this fold is creased, you should have a trapezoid-shaped Post-it Note. The diagonal edge of the fold you just made is called a valley fold.
-
5
Repeat Steps 1 through 4 seven more times to create eight trapezoid shapes.

10
Repeat Step 9 with the remaining trapezoid shapes so that you have a continuously connected shape with all 8 Post-it Notes. Crease all of the folds well.
-
11
Press gently in on all of the outside edges. As you press, they should slide in to the center. This will fill in the center of the star, and eight star points will form around the outside edge.
