How to Convert a DOC to TIFF

To run a business smoothly, you need to be able to view documents of all kinds that are created in a wide range of formats. But to be able to do so would require purchasing costly software packages that may have limited usefulness, which is not the best alternative for most businesses. Enter file conversion techniques. Microsoft Office Small Business packages include Word and Publisher. Doc files are created in Word and .doc files can be converted to .tiff files in Publisher. Doc files that are converted into .tiff files can be viewed with any image viewer.

Instructions

1. Launch Microsoft Publisher and wait for the software to load. Click on the "Open File" icon on the tool bar and open the Microsoft Word document (.doc) file that you would like to convert to a .tiff file. Allow Publisher to convert the .doc file.

2. Click on "File - Save As." When the "Save As" window opens, click on the "Save as type" drop-down arrow, and scroll down to and select "Tag Image File Format" (tiff). Change the resolution if desired.

3. Name the new .tiff file, and click on the "Save" button.
