Gout is a painful condition caused by the buildup of uric acid in the blood and joints. Most people who suffer from gout use medication and topical ointments to treat their symptoms, but few are aware that the disease can actually be eliminated entirely using natural supplements and dietary changes. While it is easy to treat the symptoms of gout with medication, eliminating gout entirely can require major lifestyle adjustments.

    Naturally Curing Gout Arthritis

  1. Step 1

At your local health food store or pharmacy, purchase extracts of black cherry and celery seed. These supplements are both generally considered safe, and can decrease the buildup of painful uric acid crystals.

  2. Step 2

Eliminate foods high in purines from your diet, as these contribute to gout symptoms. Limit or avoid fish, poultry, red meat, shellfish, organ meats and alcohol, since these can increase the amount of uric acid in the blood.

  3. Step 3

Avoid all products that contain high fructose corn syrup, especially candies, soft drinks, jams and jellies, Fructose can contribute to the formation of uric acid crystals, the painful underlying cause of gout.

  4. Step 4

Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration and to enable your body to flush out acidic compounds and toxins. Aim for at least eight glasses a day, and avoid diuretics like coffee, tea and aspirin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't give up. It can take weeks or months to completely flush uric acid crystals out of the body.
  • Do not take celery seed or black cherry extract if you are allergic to either plant.
