Magic the Gathering is a popular collectible card game, and one of the main ways people play the game is to build decks to play against each other. One way to win the game is to remove all cards from the opposing player's deck and then force them to attempt to draw a card. Doing this is called "decking" the opponent, and following these steps will help you build a deck capable of this feat.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Magic the Gathering cards
  1. Step 1

Grab four each of the repeatable deck destruction cards. This includes Millstone, Vedalken Entrancerand Lurking Informant.

  2. Step 2

Add four each of both big spells that remove cards from an opponent's deck once: Induce Paranoia and Glimpse the Unthinkable. The latter card is very powerful, and a few of them can quickly win you the game.

  3. Step 3

Add some creatures to provide for your defense. Four Drift of Phantasms will hold off an early assault, and four Tidewater Minions will help you by providing power later in the game.

  4. Step 4

Add four Lore Brokers and four Compulsive Researches, to make the opponent draw cards. Drawing cards will also deplete his deck faster.

  5. Step 5

Put some land in your deck, adding two Duskmantle House of Shadows, 13 Islands, and nine Swamps. Shuffle all the cards you have added, and you will have a decking deck.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember when playing the game, your goal is not to attack your opponent for damage, but to remove his library.
  • You may find it difficult to win a game against a large deck.
