sweaverit - Terrific idea to mix the baking soda with water (or better yet, a liquid cleanser such as Cetaphil gentle cleanser that I've been using for years with no problem :) for a once a week facial scrub. Interesting suggestion for those with blemishes regarding the aspirin (though I'm not a doctor ;) as salicylic acid in may acne treatments is similarly found in aspirin. Fantastic post! -

As far as exfoliation goes, use baking soda with a little water. It's amazing. For acne sufferers, crush up 2 aspirin in with the baking soda mixture, it really does help. -

I have dry skin, but still get spots every now and then. The problem is gone since I use this method. First, I use steam (or go to a steam room) to open the poses on my face, use normal face cleaning products (do not use scrub because the stuff in it will stay in the poses!) to clean my face and wash with cold water afterward. Then I detox my face with mud. Wash it. Now the skin is baby soft, but dry. So the next step is a honey and lemon mask to gain moisture. Wash it off and put on a water based face lotion.
