The Raven Arms Model P-25 is a small pistol originally designed in the mid-1970s. It is a handy gun to have, but is sometimes perplexing to disassemble---field strip---in the field. There is a trick to field stripping this gun that makes cleaning and reassembly a breeze.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cleaning kit
  1. Step 1

Make sure the gun is unloaded: point the gun at the ground and pull the trigger.

  2. Step 2

Remove the magazine and pull the slide all the way back. Under the rear of the slide is a small button. Depress the button; lift the rear of the slide straight up from the gun body.

  3. Step 3

Gently pull on the barrel and remove it. After cleaning the gun with the cleaning kit, slide the barrel back in place until you hear a "click." Push the slide down and forward and reinsert the magazine to complete the reassembly of the firearm.

  4. Step 4

    Get back to shooting.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always point the gun in a safe direction, even when unloaded.
