1. This time filling the area with wood putty.Wood putty is un forgiving so put on very light coats letting each coat dry properly then sanding each coat individually.When you have reach a level sanded area with no scratch marks apply stain let the area stand untouched twenty four hours.You can now show off your repair and be proud of you new talent.
