How to Chew with False Teeth
Most of us take our ability to chew for granted, until we're faced with the challenge of having to chew with false teeth. Whether you have full dentures or just a partial implant, you'll find that false teeth do several things your real teeth never did---they're prone to tipping out of your mouth and they also exert pressure on your gums. Just like you had to work at chewing as a baby, you'll have to learn how to chew with false teeth---but it won't be long before you're a natural at it.

1
Start with soft, easily chewed foods. As you chew these soft foods with your false teeth, you'll get better at chewing and be able to tackle more difficult foods.
-
2
Chew as much as possible with your molars (the back teeth) because using these teeth is less likely to dislodge your dentures than biting with your front teeth.

3
Cut your food into small pieces and place one piece on each side of your mouth before chewing. Chewing on both sides at once like this helps to balance out the pressure on both sides of your false teeth and makes the chewing process more comfortable and less likely to dislodge your false teeth.
