Make Mini First Aid Kits

First aid kits are invaluable to have. Make one up to keep in your car, purse, home and desk at the office. Mini first aid kits make great housewarming gifts, employee gifts and door prizes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small container to hold your items
  • A pair of disposable gloves
  • Sterile Gauze
  • Adhesive bandages (variety of sizes)
  • Antibiotic cream
  • Anti-itch cream
  • Antiseptic wipes
  • Pain reliever (travel size)
  • Hand sanitizer (travel size)
  • OPTIONAL:
  • flashlight and batteries
  1. Step 1

Decide on what type of container you will use to house your first aid items. A small container with separated compartments is ideal, such as a children's tackle box. Make-up and toiletry travel bags have separated pockets and would work as well.

  2. Step 2

Stock your kit with the listed items. Use the list as a starting point and decide what you may need to be prepared. Depending on who you are making this for, you may need to add or disregard some items.

  3. Step 3

Keep the like items together when making the kit. Depending on how much space you have, place bandages, gauze and gloves into one compartment. Place creams and wipes into another compartment. The pain reliever and hand sanitizer can go into another compartment.

  4. Step 4

Update your kit often. Keep an eye on expiration dates on oral and topical medicines. Replenish any items as well that you may have used recently.
