How to Start a Blog on Today.com
Blogs are a growing medium and are being created all over the Internet. Blogs give a way for people to share personal stories, give their views on the news and provide information for users. Many of these blogs are free to use, but Today.com actually pays users to blog on its website. Setting up a blog is easy, and once you are approved, the money will start rolling in.

Sign up at Today.com. To get approved, you need to fill out all of the vital information as well as provide any past writing experience you may have.

Choose a name for your blog. Your name will be assigned its own Today.com domain. For example, your domain name could be ehow.today.com.

Wait for an approval from Today.com. Approvals usually come within a week or less. Check your email and make sure the emails are not in your spam folder.

Start your blog. The blog setup allows you to write pages or posts. Pages are separate stand-alone links on your blog that may feature a bio, links or other useful information. Posts appear on the main blog page and will be the majority of the material that appears on your blog.

Write a post. Click on the link to your "Blog Control Panel" followed by the "Write" link. Click on the "Write a Post" link and the post editing page will load. The page features two ways to create a post. The first way is by using a visual typing method. This is perfect for users not familiar with HTML. The second way is by typing a post with code. This uses HTML code to create a post. You can alternate back and forth at any time during your post.

Write a page. The default page is an "About" page that features general information about your blog for visitors. The editing interface is the same for a post.

Design your blog. Today.com allows users to edit their own custom header into their blog as well as customize the colors throughout the blog. Users can assign background colors, text colors, link colors and clicked link colors if they wish. Click on the "Look & Feel" tab in the Blog Control editor in order to enable this. Use the mouse to select colors for each section.

Customize other settings for your blog. These settings include whether comments are allowed, what the title of your blog is, categories for your blog posts and more advanced details for experienced computer users.

Read your daily blog stats by clicking on "VIP statistics." Here you can find out how much money your blog is making, how many unique visitors your blog has and other ways to help promote your blog.
