      Make sure all windows and doors with sensors are closed before leaving the house. Press the "On" button, giving you 80 seconds to exit the house.

      Activating the system at night when you are home has a few more steps. Identify where you have motion sensors. If you plan to enter those areas, you need to bypass them. When your system was installed, the installer should have left you a list of the zones in your house. Identify which zone(s) you want to bypass. Hit the "Options" button, and it will prompt you to enter a zone. If you want all motion sensors off, press the "On" button, then the "Motion Off" button.

      To deactivate the system, enter your secret code. When you enter the house, you have 40 seconds to deactivate it. If your alarm goes off accidentally, enter your code and the "Cancel" button to avoid a call from the Brinks call center.
