Just like any other vehicle, a motorcycle will need new tires every once in a while. But when you put on new tires, the old ones need to be disposed.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Talk to your local government. There is a good chance there is a place that will recycle the used motorcycle tires.

  2. Step 2

If your local government does not have recycling location, look for recycling centers in the phone book and ask if they take used motorcycle tires. Some recycling companies cost money though.

  3. Step 3

If you're getting rid of used tires, you're probably acquiring new tires. It never hurts to ask if dealers will take the used tires. Some dealers will take the tires for free. Others might accept the tires as a trade-in if they still have some tread on them.

  4. Step 4

If you have kids, you could use any used tires to make some kind of swing for them.

  5. Step 5

If you don't have kids, someone else might want the tires for swings or obstacle courses. Contact schools, churches or other organizations that provide recreation for kids. They might be able to use them.
