So you threw a few too many back last night and now you can barely open your eyes. We've all been there, here's how to fix it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • fruit
  • eggs
  • OJ
  • painkillers
  • small towel
  1. Step 1

The first thing to do when you wake up is to drink a tall glass of water. Two if you can handle it. Take a small face towel and soak it in cold water then rest it on your eyes for a few minutes. This will help you wake up and feel more refreshed.

  2. Step 2

If you can muster the strength to do it, go for a run or take a nice hot bath. This will help "sweat out" the bad stuff. Even if you don't want to it's a good idea to eat breakfast. Don't eat anything like bread. This will only make you more tired. Eat eggs or make a hangover smoothie. These are often the best way to cure a hangover because of all the fruit.

  3. Step 3

The best recipe for a hangover smoothie is to take a banana, strawberries, blueberries, any other fruit you have available, about a 1/4 cup of orange juice and a 1/4 cup of milk and some honey. Blend it all together and drink. Some people like to add some V8 juice or coffee to this. Experiment with what works better for you. Continue to drink water and avoid carbs for the day or until you feel better.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid the "hair of the dog" trick (drinking more alcohol in the morning). This will initially make you feel better but once it wears off you'll be even worse than before.
