Look for foods containing Vitamin C. It aids in skin repair, and plays an important role in anti-aging treatments.It helps promote collagen production. Some research even suggests it may help prevent cancer because of its ability to scavange free radicals. Find it in citrus fruits, tomatoes, and dark, leafy veggies. In products, it may be listed as ascorbic acid.

Add Vitamin D to your diet. This is often called the "sunshine vitamin" because the sun helps skin create Vitamin D from cholesterol. It can help with skin healing and supports bone structure. In food, you can find it in egg yolks, fish oil, butter and fortified milk.

Drink lots of water! You've heard this before, but it is important for skin health because it maintains healthy cells and eliminates toxins. If you need water, your skin may be dry and flakey with very fine lines. Try the "pinch test": using your thumb and index finger, gently squeeze a 1 inch section of skin on your forehead. It you see fine horizontal lines, you need some water. Hyaluronic Acid in skin care products is also great for adding moisture to the skin.
