How to Make Easy Strawberry Pie
Strawberry pie is a tasty way to serve fresh strawberries. There are several types of strawberry pies, including one with cream cheese and one that is frozen. The easiest version of a strawberry pie uses a simple sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice mixture. A strawberry pie makes a welcome dessert for a summer evening or any other fun celebration. Things You'll Need
- Baked pie shell
- 6 cups sliced strawberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- Masher
- Saucepan
- Spoon

Mash half the strawberries in a saucepan.

Stir in the cornstarch and sugar, then cook on medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes. The strawberry mixture should thicken and be clear.

Add the lemon juice and stir well.

Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.

Stir in the rest of the strawberries and pour the mixture into the baked pie shell.

Cool in the refrigerator for 30 to 45 minutes before serving.
