Believe it or not, Father's day isn't just a day for Dad's. It is also a day for those who love them. Here are some helpful tips on how to include kids in the day of celebrating what it really means to be a father.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • card stock or construction paper
  • glue or glue sticks
  • sharpie
  • digital camera
  • pictures of dad with kids
  1. Step 1

Through out the day, have the kids help you with things you can do for your husband. For example, have the kids help make breakfast and serve Dad breakfast in bed. Have the kids wash Dad's car or watch his favorite ball game with him. You can also have the kids pay for Dad's portion of dinner or pay for dessert at the restaurants.

  2. Step 2

Next, make a list of what you love to see your husband doing with your kids.

  3. Step 3

Then find photos to go along with the things you wrote on the list. Go back to vacation photos or photos of him reading with the kids, etc. If you don't have many of these. Take some time to snap some now.

  4. Step 4

Have each one of your kids (regardless of age) pick out their favorite thing to do with Dad. Have each child glue a photo of that onto a piece of cardstock or construction paper.

  5. Step 5

Write on the paper "Dad, I like it when you..." and complete the sentence with whatever your child selected.

  6. Step 6

Put all the pages together to make a book. Next, bind the book any way you would like. You can staple, 3 hole punch or use a binding machine at FED EX/Kinkos.

  7. Step 7

Lastly, somewhere in the middle of all the other father's day festivities that we usually plan, like dinner or something. Take time for each child to read their page to Dad and tell him thank you.
