Step 1
Take the guesswork out of packing! Go though the following list and decide which products/items are "must haves" for you - cross off the ones that you don't need. Add your own "must-haves" to the list and you'll save loads of time packing for your next trip.
-
Step 2
Use your list and look for TOILETRIES that are all sample sizes or in travel-size, unbreakable bottles/jars. Facial soap, astringent, facial moisturizer, hand & body moisturizer, toothpaste, toothbrush, eyedrops, dental floss, manicure kit, tweezers, magnifying mirror, razor/shaving cream, shampoo/conditioner, styling products, cotton balls/swabs, bath oil, deoderant, nail polish/base/topcoat, nail polish remover pads, eye makeup remover, cologne, pain reliever/medicine/prescriptions/vitamins, sanitary products, contraceptives. Keep the sample sizes of each of these products in a large, hanging cosmetic bag so that you'll always be ready to go.
-
Step 3
Make sure you have the beauty products you need, including MAKEUP: Base, powder, mascara, blush, eyeshadow/liner.
-
Step 4
Match JEWELRY to each outfit you are taking on your trip: Watch/bracelets, earrings/rings, necklaces.
-
Step 5
Check on BASICS: Bras/slips/panties, stockings/socks, pj's/robe/nightgown, shoes/boots, coat/sweater.
-
Step 6
Don't forget INCIDENTALS: Make sure you have your cell phone/charger, computer/accessories, travel alarm, umbrella/poncho, camera (digital - if not, add film), book/needlework/magazine, pens/pencils, hairbrush/comb, hair dryer/curlers/accessories, scarves, sewing kit, packets of laundry soap, hat, suntan products.
-
Step 7
Choose clothing carefully. A helpful formula might be to add the number of days you'll be gone, divide by half, and add one. Take this number of outfits along. The more you can mix and match your clothes, the more versatile your wardrobe.
