How to Beat a Headache Without Medicine

Unfortunately many of us get headaches throughout times of stress or sleep deprivation. And sometimes we're in a place where we can't get any medicine.

Thankfully there is hope! There are some easy things you can do right there on the spot to get rid of your headache.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cup of water

    Simple, natural ways to get rid of a headache:

    Drink a tall glass of water. We often times get headaches due to being dehydrated. Water will also refresh our insides.

  2. Step 2
    Shoulder Stretch
     
    Shoulder Stretch

    Stand up and stretch your shoulders. Stretch your arms up with your head looking to the ceiling. Hold this position for 10 seconds.

  3. Step 3
    Neck stretch
     
    Neck stretch

    Now, stretch your neck. Tilt your head to the right and pull slightly with your hand. Hold this position for 10 seconds. Repeat for the left side. Finally tilt neck down as if you were looking at your chest, hold for 10 seconds.

  4. Step 4
    Hand Pressure Point
     
    Hand Pressure Point

    Lastly, find the pressure point on your hand between your pointer finger and your thumb. (See the photo) With your opposing hand, use your pointer finger and thumb to apply pressure to that meaty point in your hand. Hold this firmly for about 5 minutes.

    After this your headache should be gone.
