In just minutes you can make homemade strawberry sorbet that your family will beg for. Strawberry sorbet is cold, creamy and full of flavor, making it a perfect dessert for a warm summer evening. If fresh strawberries are out of season in your area you can easily substitute them for whole, frozen strawberries at any time of year. Learn how to make this delicious homemade strawberry sorbet below.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 quarts fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 ounce crème de cacao liquor
  1. Step 1

    Wash the strawberries in cold water.

  2. Step 2

    Pour the water and white sugar into a small sauce pan and heat on medium high. Stir often and continue to heat until a thick syrup forms.

  3. Step 3

    Hull the strawberries and slice them into thick slices.

  4. Step 4

    Remove the pot of sugar syrup from the stove and allow it to cool for five minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Place the strawberries into a blender. Add the crème de cacao liquor and cooled sugar syrup to the strawberries. Blend for 1 minute or until the strawberries have been completely blended.

  6. Step 6

    Pour the strawberry sorbet into a freezer safe container and place in the freezer overnight.
