Things You'll Need:
- Shoe polish
- Several rags
- Soap and water
-
Step 1
Wash off your steering wheel with some mild soap and water.
-
Step 2
Thoroughly dry the steering wheel.
-
Step 3
About this much polish.Apply the appropriately colored shoe polish to the steering wheel. While most polishes are sold with an applicator sponge, you can use any clean rag to apply the polish. You will not need more than a quarter-sized, flat smear of polish for one coat.
-
Step 4
Use a dry rag or towel to buff the steering wheel for approximately three to five minutes. This ensures the polish adheres to the leather and won't rub off on your hands.
-
Step 5
Add a second quarter-sized coat of shoe polish (and buff for another three to five minutes) for a deeper, richer shine.
